I declared bankruptcy before. When can I file again?
For Chapter 7 bankruptcies you can go eight years in between cases. You can file a Chapter 7 eight years after you've filed your first one. If you file a Chapter 13 after you file your Chapter 7, you can file that case four years after your Chapter 7 and obtain a discharge. If your first case was a Chapter 13, you can file another one within two years and you can file a Chapter 7 after a Chapter 13 within six years.
